Bio: Becky Savage has been a counselor to Stephen M. Veazey in the First Presidency of the Community of Christ since March 2007. Savage is the first woman member of the First Presidency in the history of the Community of Christ.Savage was nominated as a counselor by Veazey on March 1, 2007. Savage's appointment was approved by the membership of the church at a World Conference of the church held 24 to 31 March 2007 in Independence, Missouri.
